Hossack has a family in Steinbach the province of Manitoba in Canada. Her family lived living in Killarney Manitoba and took part in musical theatre performances as a student. She was originally a pianist as she began studying at Brandon University studies. She later switched to voice majoring. When she graduated her studies, she claimed she was interested in acting with no desire to pursue acting. After completing her studies at Brandon she attended Banff School of Fine Arts. Hossack began performing on stages at both the Rainbow Stage and the Muskoka Festival, in Winnipeg.
