
Leona Louise Lewis, born on April 3, 1985. It is an actress an activist, singer and actress from Britain. Born and raised within the London Borough Of Islington she was educated at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis could gain international attention after winning The X Factor's third series in 2006. The singer also signed an PS1 Million recording contract from Syco Music. Clive Davis's label, J Records, signed Lewis to a five-album agreement in the United States. Her success was further boosted by the launch of her debut album of her own, Spirit (2007), that was certified platinum 10x in the UK and became the fourth-highest-selling album of the 2000s and one of the most popular albums sold in UK chart history. Spirit was, according to Official Charts Company is the highest-seller debut album of a female artist. Its lead single "Bleeding Love" remains at the top of the UK charts for seven straight weeks, and was the single with the highest sales in 2007. The track was the highest-seller during 2008, and Lewis was awarded the Billboard Award for the Best New Artist. In 2009 she released her second studio album, Echo, and recorded the theme song, "I See You" to be used in the film Avatar. Lewis has also released "Collide," a joint project together with Swedish DJ Avicii. In the year 2011, she also dropped Hurt which was the extended version from her first EP. Glassheart (2012) is Lewis's third studio album. It marked Lewis' first attempt at electronic dance music and dubstep. While on her Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began the process of recording to her Christmas debut album. Christmas, With Love was released in late 2013. Its single lead One More Sleep was a top 3 hit across the UK. This chart position was what made Lewis her the only British independent female musician in the top fivespot, with eight singles. Also, she surpasses Olivia Newton John's record of seven.
