Elliott was the second oldest child of two who was born in New York City. Paula Niedert is a talent coordinator, and Chris Elliott is her mother. Her grandfather was Bob Elliott (radio comedian). Her brother, who is younger than her, is the actress Bridey Elliot; they were raised in Wilton. She was a student at Immaculate High School Danbury in Connecticut. There she participated in school plays and musicals. After finishing Immaculate High School 2005, she attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. She dropped out the first semester.
