Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit was an Indian actress who is known for her performance in the films 'Beta' 'Saajan' and 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun . Her career started in the late 1980s. Her fame was boosted by her performance as a supporting character in the film Tezaab. In the film 'Dil, she appeared with Aamir Khan. She was raised in Mumbai by an upper-middle class family. At an early age she began to learn dance. She began acting as an infant and had a difficult few years because most of her films at first were flops. Then she found success and went on to become one of the top actors within the Indian film industry. She stopped her profession following her wedding prior to returning to the entertainment industry. Recently, she was an integral part of the film "Gulaab Gang" which focused on the challenges and triumphs of women from India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. She won eight. In addition, she was awarded the Padma Shri (the fourth highest civilian award in India). Her work in the field of social service is another a highlight.
